    Avon Theatre

This theatre building dates back to 1901 when it was the Theatre Albert. The Festival purchased it in 1963 and the interior underwent major renovations this same year. In 1983, a three-story addition was added to the rear of the building, which now houses the Studio Theatre in addition to administrative offices, dressing rooms, production workshop, wig room and more. The Avon Theatre was the second venue added to the Stratford Festival and seats just over 1,000 people.
