Stratford Parks & Gardens
Wildwood Conservation Area is located on highway 7 between Stratford and highway 19. The park encompasses a campground, wetland area, a reservoir with boat launch and walking trail and more. Many events and outdoor activities are held here.
Confederation Park is located off of Romeo Street, beside the Stratford Gallery. This small Japanese Garden incorporates a waterfall with Birch and Evergreen trees. It was designed in 1967 to commemorate 100 years of confederation.
This central park is located just west of the Festival Theaters and includes a picnic area, pavillion, public washrooms, a concession booth, playground and banshell for outdoor performances. Queens Park is also a popular site for weddings and family reunions. Bookings for rental purposes are required.
This lush Shakespearean garden provides guests and residents with an inner sanctuary to enjoy. The garden is located within Queens Park.
Situated in Lower Queens Park is Meadow Rue Corner, a park featuring a collection of small naturalized gardens containing mostly indigenous plants. The park is also a playground for various species of bird, butterflies and other wildlife. The park is open from May to September.
The Shakespeare Gardens are located at the Huron Street Bridge. This garden is modeled after a classic English Garden and features a variety of herbs, roses and English Flowers.
